Justin Roberts logs thousands of miles on the road each year, leading some to call him the hardest working man in children's show business. With national awards and recognition and a devoted fan base, Justin and his wonderfully named bandmates "The Not Ready for Naptime Players" dish out unexpectedly intelligent and whimsically rocking music for kids and their parents.

This Saturday's Family Music Extravaganza at the State Theatre just got better! Family Reading Partnership's much loved local tradition - READ-ALONG SONGS with John Simon and Cal Walker will now be the opening act for Indie Family Music star Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Nap-Time Players this Saturday at 3pm.
The popular production, Read-Along Songs, is a regular local favorite and has recently begun traveling to play as far as Brooklyn. John and Cal will premiere a few new Read-Along Songs in their 30 minute opening set. In support of Family Reading Partnership, patrons are encouraged to bring "gently read" books for the Partnership's many Bright Red Bookshelves found all over the region.

We can think of no better follow up to last week's SOLD OUT kickoff to The Tompkins Trust Company Family Series than this amazing follow up. Justin Roberts presents the quirky, fun side of family music - music that parents will enjoy as much as kids. He's been compared to Lou Reed, Fountains of Wayne, Elvis Costello and everyone in between. We dare anyone to not get into the title track off his latest album, Pop Fly. Tickets are available at the State Theatre Box Office without service charge (105 West State Street), online at stateofithaca.com or by calling 800.919.6272. Tickets for adults and seniors are $15, Children $12. This show is sponsored by Wegmans.
