Doug Levine has served as the Executive Director of State Theatre of Ithaca, Inc. since the summer of 2009 and manages the theatre’s day-to-day operations with a strong focus on development and oversight of STI staff. Prior to joining The State Theatre, Doug enjoyed five years at The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Membership, Public Relations and Special Events. He received his Master's degree in Business Administration from Ithaca College in 2004 and his Bachelor of Science from that same institution in 1998.
An active member of the community, Doug managed the local rock band Hubcap for over ten years and was responsible for booking them up and down the east coast while also coordinating two different European tours. He is an active member of the Ithaca Rotary club and co-chairs the annual "Share the Warmth Campaign". A native of Elkins Park, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, Doug lives in Ellis Hollow with his wife and 2 children. Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Jean Hubbell is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the theatre. She has a background hospitality management and has brought her steadfast work ethic to The State Theatre for over fifteen years in positions of increasing responsibility. Her current role includes oversight of the house manager/volunteer coordinator, back of house supervisor, custodial services, and part-time staff. She also handles all of the theatre’s bookkeeping, working closely with the Treasurer on the organization’s Board of Directors. On days of shows, she prepares the venue as specified by the rental agreement and in tandem with the Front-of-House/Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate all day of show staffing, concession sales, and clean-up.more

Originally from Rochester, NY, Casey decided to call Ithaca home after graduating from Ithaca College in 2010. In 2012, Casey joined our dedicated staff at The State to manage the box office and was recently promoted to Director of Marketing. Casey has been instrumental in developing State’s new marketing initiatives including establishing the M&T Bank and Ithaca Times Movie Series, overseeing the recently updated website and social media outlets, and promoting The State Community Series with legends like The Temptations, Doc Severinsen, Laurie Anderson and The Chieftains. Casey is enthusiastic about the renewed success of The State and particularly enjoys taking photographs during events here at The State.more

As the Exclusive Talent Buyer, Dan Smalls coordinates all scheduling of events at the State Theatre of Ithaca. Dan has a diverse and wide-ranging background in the entertainment business, something he was initially exposed to as a sophomore at Cornell University. He produced his first concert, a combination of Blues Traveler and The Spin Doctors at Bailey Hall, before each rose to stardom. After that experience, Dan joined local impresario John Peterson at the Haunt on Green Street and quickly became the manager. It was the heyday of the famous red, gold and green painted façade that played host to the likes of such diverse acts as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Pearl Jam as well as nearly every major blues and reggae act including Buddy Guy, Albert Collins and The Wailers. Dan stayed on for several years after graduating in 1992 and eventually moved on to expand his musical future in a bigger pond.
